Mediterranean Harvest
and Soul Journey ™
The Art of Slow Living
7 days / 6 nights in southern Catalonia
A journey to the Mediterranean that still retains its essence.
There is a Mediterranean that cannot be discovered in haste.
A Mediterranean hidden among centuries-old olive trees, sun-drenched vineyards, fishermen’s tales, and tables where time seems to stand still.
A place where every food has a face, every wine holds a story, and traditions are not performed for the visitor: they are simply lived.
Welcome to Mediterranean Harvest & Soul Journey™.
Day 1
Arriving at a different place
The journey begins by leaving the noise behind.
Upon arriving in southern Catalonia, our travelers are welcomed to a private villa, a tranquil retreat surrounded by Mediterranean landscapes.
There is no rush.
There is nothing to prove.
Just the first sunset, the first glass of local wine, and that very special feeling of having arrived somewhere different.
As evening falls, a welcome dinner opens the door to the flavors of the region.
The first chapter of a story that has just begun.
Welcome to Terres del Ebre. Welcome to Ametlla de Mar
Day 2
A Day Living Like a Local
The morning begins with words.
A brief introduction to the Catalan language—not as a lesson, but as a key to understanding the local culture.
A few words.
A few smiles.
A connection.
Afterward, with our local chef (2 Repsol Soletes), we stroll through the village market.
We meet producers, choose seasonal ingredients, and discover the stories behind each product.
Later, the kitchen becomes a meeting place.
Recipes are shared.
Stories are told.
Cooking happens without a watchful eye on the clock.
And food becomes what it has always been here:
a time to come together and nourish: physically and spiritually.
In the afternoon, we discover another Mediterranean ritual: the arrival of the fish and the auction, where the sea and its people continue to set the rhythm of the day.
Day 3
The Memory of the Earth
Today we let the land set our pace.
We delve into the landscape of the Terra Alta, a region where the wind, the sun, and the hands of generations of farmers have shaped a culture deeply connected to wine.
Among vineyards and quiet paths, we discover that a glass of wine begins long before it reaches the table.
It begins in the soil.
In a vine nurtured for years.
Among vineyards and quiet paths, we get closer to the true work behind each bottle.
Alongside the winegrowers, we discover the care the vine needs throughout the year.
We learn to prune, to understand the vine, and to learn about some of the viticultural practices that allow the land to express its very best.
For a few hours, we work alongside them (depending on the season).
With our hands in the vineyard.
Following their gestures.
Listening to their stories.
Because wine doesn’t begin in a glass.
It begins much earlier:
in patience, knowledge, and the connection between people and the land.
If the season grants us the right moment, we participate in one of the most anticipated rituals of the Mediterranean calendar:
the grape harvest.
We accompany those who work the land in picking the grapes, sharing a gesture that has been repeated for generations.
We cut bunches.
We fill crates.
We learn to see the vineyard with new eyes.
Because picking grapes is not just harvesting a fruit.
It’s being part of a story.
Later, we visited a family-run winery where past and present coexist within walls steeped in history.
A place where every corner speaks of generations, patience, and respect for a craft passed down through time.
We discovered how the land, the climate, and human labor slowly transform into wine.
Then comes the moment to pause.
To observe the color.
To discover aromas.
To savor the landscape.
A wine tasting from Terra Alta invites us to understand a land where Garnacha expresses the Mediterranean character:
The light,
the wind,
the calm,
the passage of time.
It’s not just a visit to a winery.
It’s a conversation with the land.
A way to discover how a landscape can be captured in a glass.
Day 4
Stories of the Mediterranean
Before the world fully awakens, the sea is already alive.
We accompany a local fisherman to discover a trade passed down through generations.
The silence of the sea.
Patience.
The wisdom of those who have learned to listen to nature.
It’s not just about fishing.
It’s about understanding a way of life.
Lunch
The afternoon is free.
Because experiencing the Mediterranean also means knowing when to stop.
Day 5
The Roots and People of the Mediterranean
There are places where time isn’t measured in hours, but in generations.
The morning begins among ancient olive trees, silent guardians of this Mediterranean land.
Trees that have witnessed the world change while they remained, growing slowly, accompanying the lives of those who have cared for them for centuries.
We walk among their majestic trunks, listen to their stories, and discover one of the simplest and most valuable treasures of our culture:
olive oil.
Then comes the moment to taste the land.
An olive oil tasting teaches us to discover aromas, textures, and subtle nuances that usually go unnoticed.
Each drop speaks of patience, landscape, and tradition.
And then comes one of the most special moments of the trip.
A door opens.
A local family is waiting for us.
We don’t enter a restaurant.
We don’t attend a performance.
We enter a home.
A table lovingly set.
Recipes that were perhaps never written down, only learned by watching mothers and grandmothers cook.
Conversations that arise naturally.
Stories of the region.
Laughter.
Shared time.
Because in the Mediterranean, a meal has never been just a meal.
It’s a way of welcoming.
A way of caring.
A way of saying:
“Sit down, you’re welcome.”
For a few hours, we stop being travelers.
We become guests.
Day 6
The Soul of Rice
In a place where the river meets the sea and the land lives to the rhythm of the water, we discover one of the Ebro Delta’s most silent treasures: rice.
An endless landscape of ever-changing fields, where each season leaves its mark and where generations of farmers have learned to listen to the cycles of nature.
This experience invites us to pause.
To look more slowly.
To discover how something as small as a grain of rice can hold an immense story.
We visit Kenshō, a project born from the passion to unite two seemingly distant worlds: the Mediterranean rice-growing tradition and the Japanese wisdom of fermentation.
Two cultures.
Two ways of understanding time
One shared philosophy: respecting natural processes.
During the visit, we discover the journey of rice from the soil to its transformation.
We strolled through rice paddies, learning about their cultivation and understanding the profound relationship between this landscape, its farmers, and life in the Delta.
Then we entered the world of fermentation.
A world where patience becomes flavor.
Then came the moment to taste.
We sampled unique creations born from Delta rice:
artisanal sake,
miso,
amazake,
and other flavors that blend Japanese delicacy with Mediterranean character.
More than a tasting, it’s an experience for the senses.
An invitation to discover the value of waiting, of care, and of things made with soul.
An encounter between East and Mediterranean.
Between tradition and innovation.
Between earth, water, and time.
Lunch
A pause in the heart of the Delta to remember that nature is never in a hurry.
As the sun begins to set, the journey slows down even further.
A vermouth in hand.
The sky changing color.
A moment to simply be.
Day 7
Taking the Mediterranean with you
The journey ends.
But something remains.
The taste of olive oil.
The voices around a table.
The smell of the sea.
The feeling of having discovered not just a destination…
but a way of life.
One last breakfast together.
Transfer to the airport.

It’s not a place to visit.
It’s a life to experience.
